School Captain's Welcome

We are delighted to welcome everyone to our school website for the 2026-2027 session. As captains we are looking forward to hearing everybody’s opinions to make this school year enjoyable for everyone!

As a group this year we plan on focusing on pupil wellbeing and the various factors that contribute to this within and out-with school. This year we will work closely with pupils in all year groups to get feedback on how we can improve the support for pupils that we have and what new ideas we can implement this session. We want to make sure that everybody’s voice is heard and that being at school is a positive and inclusive experience for everybody at Beath.

As well as this we want to work closely with the other leadership roles in our school to encourage the extra-curriculars and opportunities available in all areas of school life. Within the Prefect Leadership Team every person has a responsibility in a different area of our school, including things such as sports, MVP and equalities. We will use this to make sure ideas from all areas of our school are heard and supported.

We want to work closely this year with student voice to ensure we uphold our status as a Rights Respecting School. We are aware of the responsibilities we have as pupils and the teachers in our school know how to support this. We want to continue to take on feedback from staff and pupils so that everybody within our school feels as though they are belonging.

As school captains we are excited to take on the new challenges and opportunities within this role. We are working hard to build a sense of community across the school and wider public to make sure everybody feels welcomed at Beath High School. We are excited to bring new ideas and solutions to problems pupils face and cannot wait to work with you all this year!
