S5/6 Contract

As our young person prepare to enter S5 or S6 at Beath High School, we are issuing our Senior Phase Learning Contract to all S5/6 pupils. This document forms the foundation of our Senior Phase provision and sets out, in clear terms, the expectations for learners who choose to continue their education with us.

The purpose of this agreement is to ensure a shared understanding of what it means to be a Senior Phase learner at Beath. By choosing to remain in S5 or S6, young people are committing to uphold the highest standards of conduct, to act as positive role models across the school, and to demonstrate maturity, commitment and responsibility in line with the values of Beath High School. The contract reinforces firm expectations around attendance, behaviour, effort and sustained engagement with learning.

These expectations are non-negotiable and must be met consistently throughout the academic session.

A central requirement of the contract is full commitment to a complete set of agreed course choices, including all core classes. Senior Phase learners are expected to engage fully with their chosen courses for the entire academic session and to seek support promptly when challenges arise. Resilience, perseverance and a determined approach to learning are essential expectations for all Senior Phase pupils.
